(UNS N08330) Alloy 330 is a nickel-iron-chromium solid-solution alloy well known for its performance in high temperature applications. With the addition of approximately 2% silicon, this alloy has excellent resistance to carburization while maintaining high strength mechanical properties at elevated temperatures up to about 1000°C (1850 °F). It also has good resistance to oxidation and scale. Alloy 330 finds wide applications in thermal processes, including:
· Baskets and boxes used in carburizing
· Combustion tubes
· Fasteners
· Jigs and fixtures used in furnace
· Thermocouple sheaths and flue-stack tips
