(UNS N04400) Alloy 400 is a single phase, solid solution, nickel-copper alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of caustic media. It is characterized by resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion, excellent strength at cryogenic temperatures and easy processing compared to other high-alloy materials. Some common applications are: feedwater and steam generator tubes, heat exchangers for the chemical industry and sour gas resistant component for oil and gas production.
